THE ADAMAWA STATE ELECTION TRIBUNAL VERDICT ON THE ADAMAWA
STATE GUBERNATORIAL ELECTION – A JUDGMENT MADE IN HEAVEN BUT!

We members of Action Congress in Rivers State wish to congratulate the judiciary for once
again proven that it has not only come of age but is the fulcrum through which the
bastardized  democracy by General Obasanjo and his undemocratic elements  will not only
be restored but assist in setting- up a sound democratic principles in Nigeria.

To the people of Adamawa State, we say congratulations for having  another opportunity to
elect the Governor who you actually voted for in the April polls. To General Olusegun
Obasanjo, we pray God to forgive him and his comrades in crime against the people of
Nigeria and pray that they will have the boldness to ask for forgiveness from Nigerians for
the mammoth crime against humanity.

We pray the next of Governor of Adamawa State in person of Alh. Ibrahim Bapetel to
imbibe a programme that will carry everybody along including the fugitives in PDP in its
coming administration that will be ushered in after the next obvious election. A new course
to take the State to a new level should now be initiated.

As much as we commend the Judiciary for stating the obvious based on its judgment that
INEC and the forces behind it committed blunder and irrevocable crime against the people
of Adamawa State, we will like to urge the AC in Adamawa State to reject the verdict and
appeal against it as the verdict falls short of the expectation of the people of Nigeria. We
expected outright declaration of AC as the actual winner of the April’s polls based on the
majority votes casted during the election.

The position of the people of Adamawa State should be reflected in what ever verdict the
Tribunal had passed and to us directing for a new election without utter condemnation of
the evil INEC and PDP committed against the good people of Adamawa State is not
acceptable and for failing to do that we are urging the Action Congress in Adamawa State to
appeal against such a half-backed judgment. But should the party decide to go for a run-off
election as directed by the Tribunal, they can count on our support both morally, financially
and otherwise as we shall surely storm Adamawa State to mobile all the Southerners in
Adamawa State to vote right as they did during the last election.
