UNDERSTANDING EVE’S ROLE IN OUR LIVES

The purpose of a product is better put to use if the end user understands it. Also, an actor
becomes a good one if he understands his script. Many are in the world wasting away
because they do not know the purpose of which they were created. Many have allowed,
through lack of knowledge, their God given talents to waste away without making good use
of them. some people are even using their gifts to glorify Satan.
If you do not understand why God gave you wealth, you will not be able to apply your
wealth rightly. Your ability to understand why God satisfies you with your daily needs or
meet your heart desires will let you put those things into proper use.
In this little write up, I will like to discuss what I called "The role of Eve in your life” In the
course of my discussion, I will present 'Eve' as a symbolic representation of man’s need. I
want you to see the word Eve not in terms of a name but a common identity or a general
name to represent a need of all mankind. Every man’s needs are the things which bring him
joy and give him a fulfillment. A man feels satisfied when his expectations are met. But funny
enough, Economists had long made us realized that man's wants and needs are insatiable.
So, I will put it this way that the satisfaction of man or the fulfillment of his life expectancy is
his ability to rightly use his needs or wants. And the only way you can do this is to know the
role such needs or wants or better still why God gave them to you. Before I move forward,
it is imperative to let you know that what provide a solution to your wants is right inside you.
The answer to every man's yearning is in him. God only needs your willingness to bring it out
in you. How do I know this? The answer is not far fetched. Our bible tells us that Eve was
created out of his man, Adam. From every understanding; Eve was an answer to Adam's
need.
The saying that "necessity is the mother of invention" equally gives credence to the point we
are making here. Most invention that satisfies was necessitated by some yearnings.Experience
makes a person discovers his hidden talent which is deposited in him to satisfy his own need
for a breakthrough. The bible equally justifies this when it says the talents of a man maketh
room for him. May I at this point equally tell you that invention of others does not only
satisfy their own wants or needs but assist to bring forth your own talent that will also satisfy
your own needs and wants.
Let us take for example; the man who invented pen does not invent the creativity of writing.
One must understand that what one needs to satisfy his wants and desire is in him. God can
only help you to discover it if you submit yourself to Him. This leads us to the main issue
under discussion which is know the Role of Eve in your life.
In Gen 2:18 God looked at Adam and saw that there is a need in his life, something to make
him happy and productive. The need in Adam’s life was not a physical loneness but a spiritual
loneness. Times and experience have shown that spiritual loneness is most times called
emotional loneness because emotion is the product of our thinking and thinking is a product
of the spirit being. Adam needs were met through the creation of Eve and the creation of Eve
was not only met to satisfy Adam’s emotional needs alone but to also play a major role in his
life. In the same Gen 2:18 God succintly defines Eve’s role.
And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper
Comparable to him” (King James Version.)
So from Eve's creation her duty was clearly defined by God - to be a helper to Adam this is
aside from being an emotional and spiritual comfort to him. This is the same way God had
provided for the needs of many not only to satisfy themselves alone but to be a blessing to
others.
If we move forward to Gen 3 where Satan came in form of serpent to deceive Eve, contrary
to what we believed when we were young that Adam was not in sight when Satan came to
deceive Eve, Gen 3:6 told us that as soon as Eve took a bite of the apple and saw that it tastes
good she turned round and gave it to Adam that was just standing beside her. Let me at this
point equally point out that most of us ignorantly refuse to show interest when our needs that
were suppose to be our helper is having a romance with the devil, we turn the other cheek
thinking that it will not get to us.
When the money or the talent God gave you is drawing wrong attention to you, do not
pretend or try to ignore it because when the problem comes, God will not because of your
ignorance spare you, even the laws of men says ignorance is not an excuse in law.Adam was
not playing his role and he allowed Eve to fall into the trick of Satan. As a man God made you
the head and you are a direct representative of God in your family so you will be held
accountable for anything your wife or children do.
One must equally know that God created Adam before Eve, and Adam should automatically
be more experienced and knowledgeable than Eve. God expected him to use his experience
in guiding Eve. We must remember that it was Adam that God told what to eat and what to
abstain from and it was Adam that named every beast and birds of the air. No doubt he must
be the one that equally named all the trees and fruits. But Adam failed to use his experience to
guide Eve and allowed her to fall to the stupid trick of Satan.
Adam joined Eve to eat the apple and the rest of the story you and I know but that is not
where am going. Where am going is the role of Eve in Adams life. Eve was suppose to be a
helper to Adam not a destroyer but because Adam failed to understand this role he couldn't
use his experience in guiding Eve to fulfill this role and as such Eve was not able to play her
role in Adams life. Due to lack of Adam’s understanding of the role Eve was suppose to play
in his life.
Like Adam, a lot of men are blaming God for giving them their needs by using such needs as
an excuse for not serving or backsliding. When you say oh God It’s these children or my job
you are indirectly blaming God for meeting your needs and wants.If all of us can only
understand the role our needs and wants are suppose to play in our lives, we will have put
such wants and needs into proper use, and it will have helped us to serve God the more.
I hope I have been able to open your eyes and make you understand that satisfying your
needs by God is due to His unlimited generosity and knowing their roles in your life is
indispensable.
