THE NEW CONDEMNABLE INITIATIVE OF SIR CELESTINE OMEHIA AGAINST
RIVERS STATE AND HER PEOPLE
We are disturbed of the information emanating from the camp of Sir Celestine Omehia the
immediate past Governor of Rivers State that he is yet to come to terms with the new
realization that he has being ousted from the administration of Rivers State for good.
Most worrisome is that he is very disturbed that since his removal the State has been
enjoying some level of peace and in order to demonstrate his displeasure over the peace the
State has been enjoying sine his ouster according to our source, he has threatened to make
the State ungovernable for Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amechi by intending to promote and
sponsor acts of hooliganism, anarchism, militancy and other nefarious activities by
earmarking millions of Naira for these noxious acts in the State.
As much as we condemn such an unholy acts at this time the people of the state and the
state well wishers are praising the new administration in the state under the captainship of
Rotimi Amechi of evolving a new strategy of administration by involving all that matters
and stake-holders in the governance of the State and given a worthy direction of taking the
state out of the woods inflicted on us by the mal-administration and misapplication of the
State fund these past eight and half years, this new ploy to set the state on fire once again is
condemnable, sad and unfortunate.
We will like to advise our youths that whenever they are approached for such a wicked act
by disgruntled politicians who do not wish the State well they should collect the money as it
is part of our looted money but will not implement their unholy and ulterior motive as the
building of the Rivers state of our dream is ours to build.
We are herby calling on the State Security agencies to investigate this latest ploy and save
the state from any nefarious act that may cause any further mayhem or serious insecurity
in the state again after what our people were subjected to during the five months of the ill-
fated administration of Sir Celestine Omehia.
In this regard we will like to reiterate that Rivers State is no longer under any bondage or
enclave of any person or clique to determine who rules or does nor rule the State. This new
development means that the period of Odili’s political dynamism in the State has gone and
gone for good. We now have a new dawn in the State and it behooves on the entire
citizenry of our beloved State to rally round Governor Amaechi to make him succeed in his
frantic efforts to revive the dwindling and comatose state of our economy..
We have no other State to call our own except Rivers State and we should all come
together and save the State from the hands of anarchists and clique which only known
agenda is how to expand their private packets to the detriment of the development of the
State as the failure of Governor Amaechi is our collective failure and surely our kids and
well wishers will never forgive us if we fall into the same rating of those we criticize.
We are told that Bar.Celestine Omehia intend to challenge the Supreme Court verdict
righting the wicked act done by PDP with collaboration of INEC and the infamous EFCC
under the supervision and directive of the then Head of State, General Olusgun Obasnjo to
exclude and embarrass Amaechi after being elected as PDP Flag Bearer in Rivers State but
though the basis for such a challenge though mischievous will not see the light of the day
as it will surely be an exercise in futility and waste of time as the people of Rivers state will
do everything humanly possible to protect the freedom from the act of slavery which the
Almighty God has granted the State through the Supreme Court declaration..
Finally, we will like to advise Sir Celestine Omehia not only to accept the reality on ground
but find a way of not only apologizing to the people of Rivers State for the misdeeds of the
past eight and half years of his group but exploit ways of assisting the new administration
to right those unfortunate misdeeds; it is only by doing that he can still be relevant within
the scheme of things in the State or else he should go and face his law profession as God
will surely assist us to protect the freedom He has granted us..
