UBA Staff Implicated in child trafficking, defrauds a pastor In Sierra Leone
We are not aware of her child trafficking activities –UBA official

A Nigerian national, Ada Isiodu who is a staff of the United Bank of Africa (UBA) , one of the newly
established Nigerian banks in Freetown, Sierra Leone has been implicated in alleged
disappearance of two  children.

Reports said that the two Sierra Leonean kids,
Ada two years old and Bernard aged three
years disappeared from their parents and the
Ministry of Social Welfare and Gender Affairs
have no record  indicating their whereabouts
or whether they were adopted by anyone,
according to information received by Standard
    Times of Sierra Leone.

On arrival to Nigeria, the suspect, Ada Asiodu
was said to have smuggled the two kids into
Nigeria without able to sufficiently prove, with
adoption certificate,  to show that the kids
were properly adopted in Sierra-Leone. She
has since taken the kids to Owerri, Imo state,
    according to reports.

The Reports also have it that  Ada Florence
Isiodu claimed that she is married to a Sierra
Leonean she has never met face-to face in
her life. Being an employee of the United Bank
of Africa (UBA) in Freetown-Sierra Leone,
backed by claims that she is married to a
Sierra Leonean, she was able to easily traffic
    the children to Nigeria.

At her residence at 36 Main Motor Road, Wilberforce in Sierra Leone, neighbors were shocked to
hear that Ada has left Sierra-Leone when visited the area by Standard Times reporter
Mohammed Konneh who did the investigation.

However, a senior official of the  United Bank of Africa, Freetown, denied any knowledge of her
child trafficking activities.  The official confirmed that she is a staff of the bank  who secured a
loan, amount of which the official refused to disclose due to the bank’s policy, and added that the
suspect did not inform the bank that she was travelling to Nigeria.

Reports also indicated that Ada, employed two years ago by UBA has dragged the name of the
bank in mud in Sierra Leone with her alleged fraudulent activities. According to the report, She
defrauded a man of God simply named Pastor Timothy of Thorough Life Ministry at Bailey Street.
Bank sources said she seduced the pastor to sign a Guarantor’s form, which enable her to
access his account and withdraw over Three Million Leones.

Pastor Timothy has sent several emails to her in Nigeria, demanding a refund of the money,
but efforts proved futile as she keeps telling him  about how she was being treated by her
employer..

Letter by Pastor Timothy to Ada, and a receipt from UBA Sierra-Leone is reproduced below

''Ada,
I want to make myself very clear to you in the presence of all those on the mail. I don't know you
too well, I only met you in our Nigerian meeting in Sierra Leone, and since then you have been
coming to our office for us to transact business by opening our church account with U.B.A. But
you were not able to meet me ever at the office, till one early morning.

I saw you at our home, and asked you how you got to know our place; you said the staffs at the
church office directed you. And that morning you were full of discouragement and full of
distress, that you needed me to sign you an empty document for grant which the bank should
give you for your accommodation. With sympathy I did it, since you were also a Nigerian, not
knowing the implication and not knowing that you have an intention of running away soonest,
without letting me know, innocently involving me into paying of debt on your behalf.

You are never my church member and have never visited my church on any church service,
except when you had been after me to open an account for the church at U.B.A, which I never
ever opened. Ada, all of these mails concerning your office UBA Bank in Sierra Leone, you are
forwarding to our church email is really not my concern. You promise calling to send the money
since the beginning of this week till date you have not called nor emailed to say you have sent
the money the bank demands I should pay as a guarantor.

The total sum is Three Million Eight Hundred and point one one one, Thirty Four cents.(LE
3,800,111.34). The level of pressure I received from UBA bank, force me to start payment of
one million leones (1, 000, 00000 immediately. And I am to pay the same amount, two weeks
from now. I will not want future emails sent to me, that don't concern me. I am waiting on you to
send the complete money I am to pay on your behalf as a guarantor.

If you know you have genuine grounds against the bank and any other issue, come to Sierra
Leone and challenge it yourself, the law is for all. If you fail to send the money within the next
seven days, I will follow your act towards me without reservation. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
You will not know now, that I am a pastor, till when I will react on this matter that you are treating
subtly.
Pastor Timothy''
