Adeboye denounces text on untimely death

THE General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor
Enoch Adejare Adeboye has dissociated himself from the text message on
untimely death sent to his followers during the week.

Pastor Adeboye, while speaking during the monthly Holy Ghost night held at
the RCCG camp along the Lagos/Ibadan Express way on Friday, said he knew
nothing about the message; just as he urged all members of RCCG in the
diaspora to disregard it in its entirety.

“I did not send any message to anybody” Adeboye said. The message,
according to some of the receivers, read: “Pastor E.A. Adeboye just sent a
message that we should pray from 11.00 p.m.–1.00 a.m. today (Wednesday
and Thursday) that God should not let us weep or mourn over anybody close
to us. Send to others.”

Pastor Adeboye however noted that the people behind the message could
have the vision but the mode of circulation was done to blackmail his ministry.
