By Akin Soneyin – For the second time in the week, the 19 APC Ekiti lawmakers have been prevented from gaining entrance into the State capital, Ado Ekiti.
Apparently reacting to the call by the embattled State Governor Ayodele Fayose, his supporters and thugs Wednesday morning repeated what they did two days ago, blocked all the major entering points into the State.
Their action is to prevent the lawmakers whose tenure terminates this weekend, from impeaching the Governor over many alleged gross misconducts before and after his re-election as Governor of the State.
Governor Fayose’s supporters according to AFRICAN EXAMINER Correspondent occupied axis such as Olashore, Efon Alaye and Ikere among many others suspected to be used by the lawmakers to move into the state.
The PDP Governor had Monday called on residents of the State to defend the mandate they gave him last year June, by coming out to prevent the APC lawmakers from impeaching him.
Also, both the Governor and his party have been calling on the new President Muhammadu Buhari to prevail on the legislators from the moves to actualize Fayose’s sack.
