APC Orders All Elected Members To Converge In Osun For SolidarityFeatured, Latest News, osun election 2014 Monday, August 4th, 2014
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has mandated all its elected members at state and national levels to converge in Osun from tomorrow (Tuesday) and remain in the state until this Saturday’s gubernatorial election is conducted.
The Party in a statement issued in Osogbo on Monday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, clarified that the directive was a way of showing APC flagbearer and the incumbent Governor Rauf Aregbesola unalloyed support in the voting exercise.
Alhaji Muhammed indicated that the directive affected all political appointees in states under the APC controlled states, especially the Special Advisers and Commissioners. Also expected in Osogbo he disclosed were members of the national elders’ caucus.
APC said it perceived the coming election as a “celebration of democracy and a harvest time for the party, whose candidate has worked so hard to implement his mandate and make life more abundant for the people of the state”.
In the main time, the ruling party has called on its members in Osun to be vigilant ahead of the poll, given “the myriad of desperate tactics being perfected by the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to reap where it did not sow.”
