They are protesting moves by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to nominate a former manager of Habib bank, one Mr. A. Dawari as commissioner from Fofure LG.

The APC members in the area kicked against the move by Atiku on condition that he is not APC member and did not contribute to the success of the party in the state.

A local government executive of the party at Fufore, who did not want his name published, told reporters in Yola, that the LG party executives had nominated the secretary of Governor Bindow campaign organization, Hon Shuaibu Babas as a commissioner nominee.

He said former Vice President Atiku who kicked against Bindow gubernatorial ambition is making effort that the popular nominee of the people should be dropped for his preferred candidate.

“Atiku gave Hon Shuaibu N11 million to work against Bindow but he declined the offer, Is it the way Bindow will reward loyalty” he queried.

On their own part, the people of Numan constituency was said to have nominated Prince James Ngbale who was also a member of Bindow campaign organisation but his name was said to have been substituted with a PDP member.

The political development is now creating huge crack in APC led government in the state as members of  Bindow campaign organisation claimed that Governor Bindow is working contrary to the agreement reached.

According to them, Governor Bindow promised them that those that work with him will be given appointments before “outsiders” will be considered.

Meanwhile, Governor Jibrilla Bindow has denied being under the influence of the Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to choose his commissioners.
