Barca Striker Messi Wins Best Europe Player Award

By Ayo Balogun – Barcelona striker, Lionel Messi has won the UEFA Best Player in Europe Award.
Messi defeated two other contenders, including Luis Suarez and Cristiano Ronaldo to clinch the prestigious prize.
Prolific goal striker, Messi finished level on goals with Real Madrid star, Ronaldo and a team mate, Neymar in Europe in 2014/15. The trio recorded 10 goals each.
Messi’s Champions League impressive form helped him to a final tally of 62 goals in 67 games in all competitions at club and country levels.
With the present stand, Messi has again been positioned to slug it out with Ronaldo for the Ballon d’Or in next January.
