Audu Limun, Bauchi – For allegedly holding secret meetings with Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi State, the state Chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has set up an investigation panel to investigate the party’s Vice Chairman, Shua’ibu Rahama and Treasurer Alhaji Harsanu Guyaba.
The decision of the party to set up the committee followed series of allegations leveled against the two officials of the party in the state.
APC’s Publicity Secretary Alhaji Awwal Jallah confirmed the incident to newsmen in the state.
According to him, “it’s true that the Party had received allegations that two members of the State Exco held a meeting with Governor Isa Yuguda at VIP (guest house) number eight in Bauchi.”
He added that the Party has set up two different committees to investigate the allegations and the first committee had queried them over the incident and the period given to the committee has lapsed last Monday.
He disclosed that after the expiration of the period given to the committee, the state executive has set up another committee made up of seven members headed by Senator Mohammed A Mohammed to investigate the allegations and report back to the state council of the party.
