Buhari Opens Abuja-Kaduna Rail Project

ABUJA, NIGERIA (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – President Muhammadu Buhari has inaugurated the modernization of Abuja- Kaduna commercial rail operations.
Speaking at the take off ceremony Tuesday, Mr. President highlighted that the rail operations would ease transportation of commuters and goods from the FCT Abuja to Kaduna and vice versa.
President Buhari also indicated that the project has the capacity to aid the country’s desire for industrialization and generation of employment among the youths and graduates.
The modernization exercise dated back to 2009 during the tenure of late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, but which was completed by the immediate past President Goodluck Jonathan, who was then initially the Vice President.
