The handover note which was the summary of Jonathan’s five years administration, was made available during Buhari’s visit and tour of the presidential Villa, led by President Jonathan, who said he has done his best for the country.

Alongside the presentation of the handover note which was done at the council’s chamber, President Jonathan also presented to General Buhari a copy of the 2014 National Conference Reports.

“The Hand-over notes which we now present, contain the governance philosophy, strategies, policies, programmes and activities of my Administration for the period – 2011-2015. Also to be found in the notes are the objectives, targets and implementation strategies, achievements and challenges of our key policies, schemes, initiatives as well as the status of commitments and liabilities of the various MDAs.” President  Jonathan explained.

On his own part, General Buhari noted that Jonathan’s telephone call changed the course of Nigeria’s political history, as it stabilized the system of multi-party democracy, as well as earned the respect of both Nigerians and world leaders.

He reasoned that Jonathan had a choice, maintaining that he could have truncated the March 28 Presidential election and made the exercise inconclusive, thereby landing the country into a chaos.

The formal inauguration of the incoming president and the vice president will take place tomorrow.
