Camp Obj in disarray
It is only a commonsense to know that no condition is ever permanent. The ever vibrant
stooges of president Obasanjo are obviously in disarray going by the moves of the
present administration which they installed to beam searchlights into their tenure in office.
It is an irony that many of Obasanjo’s foot soldiers are now facing various degrees of
problems as their stewardship is being questioned by the government of the day.
Nobody could imagine that Nuhu Ribadu or Mallam El Rufai of this world would be in
any kind of mess like they are right now.
Babalola Borishade, Femi Fani-Kayode, Nuhu Ribadu, Mal. Nasir El-Rufai, Bode
George, Soludo, Gov. Osunbor, Omehia, Andy Uba, Patricia Etteh, Iyabo Obasanjo,
Gov. Olusegun Agagu, are conspicuous supporters of former president Obasanjo.
These politicians are among the growing list of those who have been relegated or
currently facing political battle of their life.
Even the camp leader himself Obasanjo has no hidden place. He is under threat of
humiliation both among ordinary Nigerians and his political circle. What an empty legacy
to leave behind after 8 years. This is a moment of sober reflection for these yesterday
leaders who thought they were the owners of Nigeria.
They ruled with uttermost stubbornness thinking only them possessed solutions to the
massive problems of the country. The sad thing is that there is nothing to show for their
arrogance. Yes! I mean nothing! High cost of gsm, blackout across the country, poor
transportation, poor health facilities, poor roads, potbelly politicians and poverty
stricken Nigerians are legacies of Obasanjo and his men.
The present dilemma of Obasanjo and his men should humble their soul. These are
people who owned yesterday. They were the rulers. They were the ones whose ideas
count, even if the ideas are stupid. They trampled over opposition at will, but today the
government they help installed has turned against them. Such is life!
