From Abdul Gafar Bello -The lingering power supremacy tussle in the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) worsened Thursday as the body holds parallel quadrennial state delegates conference in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
While Comrade Ayuba Wabba’s faction staged its conference at the Banquet Hall beside along Ahmadu Bello Way, Comrade Joe Ajaero’s faction, scheduled its parallel meeting at the ITC Club House, near the Kwara Transport Management Agency, Ilorin.
It would be recalled Wabba’s declaration on March 14, as the new NLC National President was contested by his main rival, Ajaero who complained that the result declared was manipulated to favour Wabba.
Ajaero has accused a former national leader of the association and the incumbent Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole of being bias. He said this after Oshiomhole paid Wabba’s led EXCO courtesy visit Tuesday in Abuja.
