DCP Amadi Will Account For Attempt On My Life, His Electoral Fraud In Rivers –Amaechi

By Collins Amadi- Rivers State Governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi has vowed that a former Deputy Commissioner of Police in the State, just promoted as the Commissioner of Police, John Amadi will be returned to the State for embarrassing the incoming ruling APC and the President-Elect, General Muhammadu Buhari (rted) as well as account for his roles in the violence and frauds that rocked the recent State’s Governorship election.

Governor Amaechi said this Sunday in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, during a Special thanksgiving service organized by the Greater Campaign Organization (GTCO).

The Director General of the APC Presidential Organization, insisted that CP Amadi would not be after all investigated and made to account for the electoral shenanigans he and others perpetrated in the recent State Governorship poll, only if the APC was not allowed to form the new central government.

He exposed that Amadi planned to kill him when on his way to his father’s village, to vote, saw some hoodlums involving in electoral misconducts. He explained that his directives when he came down to Amadi and his personal security detail, to send policemen to arrest the miscreants, yielded no result, rather, what happened was threat by the police officers with Amadi, saying “somebody is going to die here today”, a threat he stated they made in a local dialect and targeted at him.

Having been left alone with his fate and in God’s hand, the saving grace he had Governor Amaechi revealed was the call he made to a Brigade Command, in charge of the area, who sent his men down to rescue him and arrest the hoodlums.

Governor Amaechi also recalled how the election results were altered in the wee hours, in front of Nyeson Wike father’s house in Rumueme under the protection of the Policemen.

He urged the APC Governorship candidate, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, to be faithful and committed in the struggle to reclaim his stolen mandate, noting that similar fate befell him, before he became the Speaker of the State’s House of Assembly as well as Governor of the State.

“Without faith, you are going nowhere” the outgoing Governor said, affirming that his fast persistent fasting and prayers earned all the victories he recorded.

He indicated that Peterside’s travail was better, compare to his, who escaped to Ghana for cover, as he (Peterside) would not be sent out of the State or country to pursue and reclaim his mandate.

Amaechi who reiterated his point that Nigeria was broke, challenged Wike on possibility of running a successful government, due to insolvency problem the country is presently facing.

Except that the State has been able to liquidate her debts substantially, Governor Amaechi stressed he doubted Wike could muster enough money to pay workers’ salaries and execute capital projects as achieved by his administration.

The State APC Governorship candidate, Dr Peterside while speaking to journalists at the service, declared that he and members of his party were due to be grateful to God, despite many irregularities that characterized the State’s recent general Elections.

Peterside recalled that GTCO went round only 21 out of 23 Local Council areas of the State due to security reasons.

The APC Governorship candidate, responded that for all the serving State’s political office holders to maintain one house despite the intimidation, as well as the witnessed political violence which possibly could have been more severe, yet, they survived, gave the impression that God was with the party, her members and the entire Rivers State.

The service was attended by all the serving State’s and Federal lawmakers; government officials and their family members as well as APC members.
