Ebonyi Couple Found Dead On Their Farm

ENUGU NIGERIA, (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The Mgbaleze Isu, community in Onicha council Area of Ebonyi state was weekend thrown into tension and shock, as a 36-year-old man, identified as Mr. Ani Chijioke and his wife, Ngozi Chijioke, were found dead on their farm.
It was gathered that the people of the area went in search of the late couple as both of them did not return home from the farm.
Lifeless body of the wife, was however, found lying in the pool of her own blood with marks all over her body, while the husband, was found hanging on a tree.
Confirming the incident to newsmen, the state Police Public Relations Officer PPRO, George Okafor, said the man may have killed the wife and hanged himself.
“Yes, it is true that the couple died at the farm, but I am thinking that may be one thing led to another and the man killed his wife and hanged himself because the area is peaceful, no any dispute in the community.
According to Okafor, the police will get to the root of the incident as investigation has begun.
