The Governor David Umahi, led government in Ebonyi state has raised the alarm over alleged plans by some politicians who served in the immediate past administration of ex- governor of the state, chief Martin Elechi, to bring down the present government, using fetish Juju means.
According to the state Commissioner for information and Orientation, Emmanuel Onwe, who made the allegation in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi state capital, said the accused politicians had resorted to using fetish ways to attack Governor Dave Umahi and other members of the State Executive Council.
He said: “failed politicians are hell bent in bringing down the government, and have been consulting rural shrines and holding several community meetings.
“Those who want to distract the government, for example, they go to rural shrines and organise community meetings to attack members of EXCO or create scenario that will distract members.
“They are warned to desist from such acts as this government will resist it”.
The Ebonyi government spokesman, stated that the administration would not allow such antics distract it, as the Governor is striving towards delivering dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
