Abuja July 08, 2010 (The African Examiner)
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) will today begin the probe of the
Impeached President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Sanni Lulu.
The impeached first vice president Amanze Uchegbulam, chairman technical committee
Taiwo Ogunjobi and secretary general of the NFF Bolaji Ojo-Oba will join Lulu as they all
appear before the commission today.
The commission's spokesman Femi Babafemi who confirmed the commencement of the
probe said ''Investigations like this might lead to other findings that could result in more
people been quizzed'' Babafemi stated.
The Presidential Task Force, a body set up by former president Musa Yar’adua to help NFF
ensure that the nation qualified for the 2010 world cup had accused the federation of
corruption in a report submitted to President Goodluck Jonathan after the exit of the Super
Eagles from the global event .
The new executive committee of the NFF had apologized to the President and the entire
nation over the dismal performance of the Super Eagles at the 2010 world cup in South
Africa.
