Fire Razes Ministry Of Education At Federal Secretariat Abuja

By Ganiyu Nasirudeen – A section of the Federal secretariat complex in Abuja, was Thursday gutted by fire.
Our correspondent, who visited the complex, gathered that the floors that were affected in the sixth to eight floor belong to the Federal Ministry of Education. Cause of the inferno could still not be ascertained as at the time of filling this report.
The incident occasioned panic and commotion among the staffers of the Ministry, workers of other Ministries within the complex as well as the visitors.
Our Correspondent also learnt that the fire which broke around 2.00pm has touched some documents of the Education Ministry.
The fire, which was said to have started by 2pm, has affected some items at the Ministry of Education.
Meanwhile, men of the fire Service who were called shortly after the outbreak, has put out the fire. No casualty except the burnt documents has been reported so far.
