Flying Eagles Crash Out Of Under 21 World Cup; As Mali Make Quarter Final

By Niyi Adeyi – The Nigerian Flying Eagles have crashed out of the ongoing U-20 World Cup Football tournament, in New Zealand.

Nigerian side was defeated early Thursday morning by their Germans’ counterpart with a lone goal in the 15th minute of the first half of the match, in which the Nigerian side lost so many unutilized scoring chances.

The decisive match which was played in Christchurch, saw the German’s team dominating every department of the game, leaving the Flying Eagles to struggle to resist the pressure being mounted on them.

This was evident in the match statistics which awarded 69 and 39 percent to the Germany and Nigeria respectively.

With the present development, the Germans will stay back in Christchurch for their quarter-final knock out cracker with Mali, while the Flying Eagles return home.
