Inconclusive Guber Polls: INEC Okays Dates for Supplementary Polls

ABUJA, NIGERIA (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled all the supplementary Governorship elections for Saturday, March 23.
The announcement was made in a statement signed Tuesday by the INEC National Commissioner and Chairman (Information and Voter Education Committee) Mr. Festus Okoye.
He disclosed that the INEC took the decision Tuesday after a meeting to review the 29 governorship and 991 state constituency elections conducted Saturday, March 9.
The affected States for governorship re-run include: Adamawa, Bauchi, Benue, Kano, Plateau and Sokoto.
The Commission has declared the elections inconclusive in the States.
