Lagos: INEC Begins Distribution Of 4.8 Million Permanent Voter Cards

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it will begin the distribution of 4.8 million Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVC) in Lagos, Nigeria from November 7, 2014.

This was disclosed by INEC’s Resident Electoral Commissioner, Adekunle Ogunmola in Lagos, saying that the distribution of the PVC under the third phase would begin in Lagos and other states between November 7 and 9.

According to him, 4.8 million PVC would be distributed in Lagos alone, adding that the Continuous Voters Registration would hold in Lagos between November 12 and 17.

The INEC’s Resident Electoral Commissioner appealed to Lagosians to make themselves available to collect their PVCs as this would lead to the success of next year’s poll.

Ogunmola stated that arrangement had been made to accommodate those who had lost their temporary voters cards, as they could fill an attestation forms with their passports on them to enable them collect their cards.
