Zoning constitutional –Rep Minority leader -Scores Jonathan’s government
low
The minority leader of the House of Representatives Hon. Mohammed Ndume has thrown his
weight behind zoning saying it was mentioned in the constitution in form of federal character
principle.
Ndume who is a member of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) told News
Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the debate on zoning was a constitutional
matter which was only adopted by some political parties in their own
constitution.
"We are worried that President Jonathan has allowed himself to be
distracted by this unnecessary debate thereby leaving issues of state to
suffer," Ndume stated.
The lawmaker who scored the government low advised President Jonathan "to concentrate
on his present job as a sitting President instead of seeking to be a presidential candidate in
the next election when he has yet to deliver on the subsisting mandate."

Hon. Ndume is a knife with two faces. He cuts from both sides. He should note that
Jonathan is trying to carry everybody along and that he doesn't talk at all times
does not mean he is not working. At least there is relative peace in Niger Delta. He
is a listening President. He also has a lot to offer only that the principle of
corporate corporation from National Assembly and other parastatals in Nigeria
does not allow poor people to have immediate feel of good governance.

Hon Ndume, can you be constructive for once. Stop this your dirty game, it does
not suit a fine man like you. My President is too much for you to rubbish, go and
play your dirty politics elsewhere. Score Him low if you like but now I can be sure
of meeting light in my home when I close from work, a priviledge I have been
denied several years.

As President Jonathan has constitutional right 2 contest, so also d leader of d
minority has d same right 2 talk. Meanwhile, let us continuously pray 4 d best.
Location must be given a secondary place.

Will zoning in anyway emancipate the teeming unemployed youths who took arms
to protest their predicaments? Will zoning make the rather selfish national
assembly members who has continuously alloted jumbo salaries and allowances to
themselves at the detriment of the entire nation. Listen if there is any sector of this
our potentially great nation should cry of zoning in terms of her share of leadership
right it should be the South-South. From Tafawa to Shagari, Shonekan who was
booted out by General Abacha of blessed memory to Obasanjo to Y'adua who
amongst them are from the South-South. Please we should be talking about good
governance and not zoning.
