US deports 57 Nigerians
with Agency Reports.....
The United states government has deported 57 Nigerians from the US for
various offences, mainly credit card fraud, drug, and immigration violations
The deportees, 53 men and four women, arrived at the Murtala Muhammed
International Airport at 2.00 p.m. aboard a private aircraft chartered by the
American authorities.
The deportees were accompanied by law enforcement agents from the
United States and handed them to the Nigerian Immigration services,
National drug law enforcements and other security operatives at the airport.
Reports say that 14 of the deportees were repatriated based on
drug-related offences while the offence committed by other immigration
offences ranged from illegal permit to fake visas.
The 14 drug offenders were whisked away by the NDLEA officials while
those with illegal immigration papers were taken into custody by the
immigration officials.
