NFF Secretariat Inferno: Investigation Report to be Released This weekLatest News, News, Sports Tuesday, August 26th, 2014
Operatives of the Federal Fire Service have confirmed that that the report on the inferno that gutted the Abuja Secretariat of the Nigeria Football Federation will be made available to authorities this week.
In a chat with journalists at the scene, Assistant Controller General of the Service, Toyo Peter Adeoye, who made this known said that the incident was still being investigated.
“We are still investigating and we cannot come out with any conclusion for now. There are a lot of factors involved. I am sure of that, but I can’t tell you what the factors are for now because we are still investigating. We are calling on people to tell us what they know about the fire and we will make our report known to people the moment we are through.
Adeoye noted that questions will be asked despite the decision by the Nigeria Football Federation to clear the debries without the consent of the service.
“Let them wipe away whatever they like, we will still ask questions. We were here on the first and second days and we are still here today again just to make sure we get everything right. We are writing our report already and we will complete it this week by the grace of God,” He said.
A group the NFF senior officials have been accused of deliberately setting the football secretariat on fire to destroy valuable document.
