Despite the mixed reactions that greeted Super Eagles’ victory over Sierra
Leone on Wednesday,West Ham United striker Obinna Nsofor has described the
game as a signal to a new beginning for the Nigerian senior national team
under  coach Samson Siasia.

The 24 year old player said it was a fresh atmosphere for all the players while
assuring that the team will succeed under Siasia.

“I know the coach very well. He won't fail Nigerians. He will turn around the
fortunes of the Eagles because he knows how to make his players work for the
whole team ''

Speaking about the bigger task that awaits the team next month when they face
Ethiopia in African Nations Cup 2012 qualifier, Nsofor said he was confident the
Super Eagles will win the encounter as well as their remaining three matches.

Eagles are three points behind group B leaders Equatorial Guinea.
