BREAKING: Oba Of Benin, Erediauwa is Dead

BENIN, NIGERIA (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Paramount traditional ruler, Oba of Benin Kingdom, His Royal Majesty (HRM), Omo n’Oba n’Edo Uku Akpolopkolo Erediauwa is dead.

The transition of the prominent Monarch was announced Friday afternoon, by the Iyase of Benin Kingdom, Chief Sam Igbe. Reason for the death was not disclosed.

As tradition demands, a native chalk was broken within the palace to affirm the death of the King.
