Osinbajo Launches Ogoniland Cleanup, Laments Havoc To Human Lives

RIVERS, NIGERIA (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The Federal Government (FG) has lamented the destruction to lives and environmental degradation caused by oil spillage in the Niger Delta region.

Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo made the points Thursday in Rivers State, at the official launch of the Ogoniland clean up.

Professor Osinbajo who represented President Muhammadu Buhari attended the historic event with top Government officials.

In attendance were the immediate past State Governor and Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi; Environment Minister, Hajia Aminat Mohammed; her Information; Budget and National Planning counterpart, Alhaji Lai Mohammed and Senator Udo Udoma respectively, the State Governor, Nyesom Wike, his Imo State counterpart, Owelle Rochas among others.
