The National Leader of ACCORD party and Former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, has distanced himself and his party from purported impeachment move against the state’s incumbent Governor, Senator Abiola Ajumobi.
The Former Governor had therefore called on his party’s legislators in the state’s House of Assembly to desist from the move and face their legislative duty without distraction.
Senator Ladoja who had indicated interest to contest for the state’s governorship seat, observed that there was no need for anybody to begin impeachment on misconduct now, especially, when Ajumobi’s tenure of office was about to terminate.
Speculations about Governor Ajumobi’s planned sack is being spread within and outside the state in the last two weeks. The rumour has always been greeted with denial by the state’s legislators ahead of Ladoja and his party’s clarification and opposition to the move.
