PDP Lifts Suspension On Former National Chairman, Bamanga Tukur


From Mustapha Abdul Salaam , Yola – The ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has lifted the one month suspension slammed on its former National Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur.

Incumbent PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu made this announcement Thursday at the party’s Presidential rally in Yola, the Adamawa state capital.

Mu’azu disclosed that the announcement was with the permission of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).

It would be recalled the PDP National Legal Adviser National Legal Adviser, Victor Kwon early December last year announced the party’s NWC announced Dr. Bamanga Tukur and Aliyu Abuba Gurin suspension for one month, referring to the National Disciplinary Committee position that the duo had acted against the party, according to section 58(1)(a)( b)( h)( l) of the PDP Constitution 2012( as amended).

President Goodluck Jonathan who spoke in emotion laden voice in his about 15 minutes speech at the rally denied ever sponsoring Boko Haram insurgents.

Such a heinous act he submitted could only be done by the wicked fellow. He reiterated that he could not have resorted to that level or be so wicked to a state that gave him over 65 percent votes in 2011 Presidential election.

Mr. President confessed that his support for Mallam Nuhu Ribadu as the State PDP Governorship candidate was borne of his impressive track record, which he has since been monitoring since his days as the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State.

As the former Chairman of EFCC, very, young, diligent and honest, President Jonathan stated he believed in Ribadu and very convinced that with him at helms of affairs, the State would be free from the Boko Haram insurgents’ excesses.

The President claimed that his administration has done a lot in dousing the insurgents’ deadly advances and promised to do more if re – elected.

Jonathan therefore urged the PDP supporters not to be deceived, hence, vote the party’s candidates at levels during the coming general elections.

In his address, Ribadu described President Jonathan as “promoter of unity” and the first ever President that has done so well and much for the Norh Eastern State.
