PDP sets to receive Mimiko; Sets Up Nine-man Committee

The Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) has concluded plans to receive Governor Olusegun Mimiko back to its fold.

In doing this, it has set up a nine-man committee to receive the Governor who is set to defect from the Labour Party(LP) to the PDP.

The committee according to the party is to work out an amicable working arrangement between the old PDP members and those coming from the LP.

The party said the committee will liaise with Presidency, party officials and new members so that the integration between the two major political parties in Ondo state would not create any bad blood.

Members of the committee include Special Adviser to President on Amnesty Programme, Hon. Kinsley Kuku, former Minister of Defence, Prince Adetokunbo Kayode (SAN), Senator Bode Olajumoke and former Commissioner for Information, Dr Eddy Olafeso.

Others, include Deputy National Youth Leader of the PDP, Mr Denis Alonge-Niyi, D.G, NSC, Elegbeleye, the state chairman of the PDP, Hon. Ebenezer Alabi and the governorship candidate of the party in the last election, Chief Olusola Oke.
