Plateau LG Polls: We will win 14 Councils- APC Boasts

The Interim Leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), in Plateau State, Senator John Shagaya, said the APC is showing strong presence in 14 Local Governments ahead of the forthcoming council polls, saying the party can win the 14 Councils.

He stated this at the party secretariat in Jos on Monday, while receiving three vehicles donated by Hon. Kwande to assist in the ongoing registration of party members.

His words, “We are very prepared and I must also own up that we are showing very strong presence in 14 out of the 17 Local Government in the State.

He maintained that the party has strong contestants in the 14 councils both in the Chairmanship and Councilorship.

Shagaya called on the authorities to allow for “a free and safe playing ground.

He appealed to security operatives in the state to be fair to all plateau people and spare all sentiments of any ruling government.

[In his earlier remarks the member representing Jos North/Bassa Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Suleiman Kwande, who recently defected from the DPP to the APC, saying,
“There has been a problem about my defection to APC and there was even a summon that I should make sure I go back to DPP or somewhere else and today is the dateline, so my standing here is the answer to that letter.

“I have moved to APC and by God’s grace I’m not moving to anywhere. My apologies to anyone who feels slighted.

“I moved to APC, because that is what my people want and where they want me to be.
