Agabus Pwanagba, Jos – The Special Task Force (STF) responsible for the maintenance of peace in Plateau State has recovered the sum of N265, 000 snatched from a trader by armed robbers and returned to the owner.
Speaking on the incident, the State’s STF Commander, Major General David Enetie said, the armed robbers were arrested, being interrogated and would soon be charged to court.
He added, the money has been handed over to the owner, Mrs Caroline Agada who is a trader in Jos, the State capital.
Agada expressed delight over the way the STF acted and stated that the money was snatched from her at old airport junction after leaving the bank where she withdrew it.
She added that the robbers trailed her as she got on a tricycle and approached NASCO fibre to buy some grains. Unknown to them, the STF personnel stationed close by were observing the event and quickly swung to action and arrested the robbers.
