Police Confirm Kano State Polytechnics Explosion; Urges Residents to Be Vigilant

The Police authorities have confirmed the fresh bomb blast on Wednesday which occurred around the state’s Polytechnic premises.

The Force Image Maker, ACP Frank Mba narrated in a statement posted on his official blog some minutes ago that “At about 2:30 pm today (July 30 2014), a suspected suicide bomber targeted students checking NYSC call up list at the central Administrative Building of Kano State Polytechnic.”

Mba confirmed in the statement that three persons died in the eruption while seven were injured.

He added that investigation was ongoing and Security patrol were being intensified. Mba therefore warned the residents “to be vigilant”.
