Rio Paralympic: Nigeria Clinches First Medal

BALTIMORE, MD (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Nigeria has recorded her first medal at the ongoing Rio Paralympic as one of its athletes, Latifat Tijani won medal in women’s Power Lifting.
Specifically, Tijani won silver in the women’s 45kg after lifting 106kg.
The Nigerian representative trailed behind Chinese Hu Dandan, who broke the world paralympic record of lifting 107kg.
