Russia Condemns US, UK Use Of Uncomplimentary Remarks Against SyriaFeatured, Latest News, World News Monday, September 26th, 2016
BALTIMORE, MD (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Russia has condemned both US and UK for using “unacceptable” tone and rhetoric in speeches against Syria at the United Nations (UN).
The country has also expressed reservation on “barbarism” accusation.
US Permanent Representative Samantha Power Sunday alleged that Russian and Syrian forces were “laying waste” to besieged rebel-held areas in Aleppo city.
Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has handed warning saying harsh language might damage efforts to end the five-year civil war.
Meanwhile activists have confirmed scores of victims being killed and injured in fresh air strikes on Aleppo overnight.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a UK-based monitoring group, claimed at least two civilians were killed and many wounded.
No fewer than 162 people are believed to have been killed in the rebel-held Aleppo since last week Monday, when a truce brokered by the US and Russia collapsed.
The US-led allied forces include UK and France. They openly opposed the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, over the raging assault on Aleppo at an emergency session of the UN Security Council.
