Saraki, Rebel APC, PDP Senators In Crucial Parley With Obasanjo

By Funmilayo Omidiji – Some Chieftains of the ruling APC, including the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and former Osun State Governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola are presently meeting with the Former President Olusegun Obasanjo in his Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, hilltop mansion.

Saraki’s team which also included: Senators Danjuma Goje; Ahmed Yerima; Andy Uba and Tayo Alasoadura arrived the former President residence’s premises around 9.00am Friday.

They all went inside the building immediately after their arrival, for a closed door meeting, which the main subject is not yet disclosed.

Senator Saraki emerged the upper legislative chamber President last Tuesday, despite his party, the APC opposition to his candidature.

In yet another dramatic outcome, Ike Ekweremadu of the PDP emerged his Deputy. The appointment of the Senate Principal officers again generating another round of uproar, as the APC, Saraki and his opposition supporters are at loggerhead with the choice of candidates to occupy various key positions in the 8th blue legislative chamber.
