Scores were on Wednesday feared killed while several others displaced in a renewed communal clash between the Alago and Eggon natives of Tudun Adabu area of Obi local government area of Nasarawa state.
The skirmishes, which started Tuesday between the Eggon and Fulani herdsmen in Assakio, the seat of the Lafia East Development area, African Examiner gathered, escalated Wednesday to the newly touched communities.
Our Correspondent’s findings indicated that the new fight erupted when Alago youths allegedly supported the Fulani to attack the Eggon natives, a situation our source revealed angered the latter, thereby re-launched the onslaught.
It would be recalled the state Governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, after yesterday’s fight paid a visit to some local areas including Wamba, Akwanga and Nasarawa Eggon to take stocks of the damages. Al’Makura equally donated during the visit relief materials to the displaced people.
