President Goodluck Jonathan has appointed Joe Odumodu as the new
Director-General of Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON).

He replaces Dr John Akanyan whose tenure expires at the end of this month.

The appointment of Joe Odumodu was based on the recommendation of the
Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Ms Josephine Tapgun.

The appointment takes effect from February 1st 2011.
