From Ignatius Okpara, Enugu – Contrary to rumour in some quarters that leader of ex- Niger Delta militants, Ekpemupolo, popularly known as “Tompolo”, has concluded plans to lead his boys back to the creeks, following the victory of Mohammadu Buhari, in the presidential polls, the (latter) has congratulated the president elect, saying his emergence was the will of God.
Tompolo, in a statement by his spokesperson on, Paul Bebenimibo, on Thursday, appealed to Nigerians to accept the outcome of the March 28 election for the sake of peace.
“I believe that nothing can happen if God does not approve of it. I want to appeal to all our people to be orderly, calm and embrace peace.
” The will of the people is sacrosanct and the existing peace be maintained.
He said “Peace is a prerequisite for national development.
People should remain calm also during the governorship election.” He appealed
