11 Confirm Dead, Falae’s Son, Agagu’s wife, 2 Sons among victims of Lagos Crash

The Lagos State Emergency Management Authority has confirmed 11 dead, four hospitalized in Thursday’s air crash at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja.

The Associated Airlines with Reg No SCD 361 crashed shortly after takeoff at about 9.30 am local time, The plane had 20 passengers and seven crew members on board.

The ill-fated plane carrying the remains of the late former governor of ondo state Dr Olusegun Agagu was heading to Akure where well-wishers are waiting to receive the body of the late politician. Late Agagu is due for burial this weekend in his hometown, Iju-Odo in Ondo state, south-west, Nigeria.

Reports say four people rescued from the aircraft have been rushed to the hospital while some dead bodies have been recovered.
