(UPDATED) New Ooni, Oba Ogunwusi Dedicates Staff Of Office To Nigerian Youths

The new of Ooni, in his acceptance address declared that his staff of office was dedicated to the youths of Ile Ife and Nigeria in general.

Oba Ogunwusi who noted that the state of things with the Nigerian youths, was like sitting on a time bomb, pledging as he assumed the throne, he would promote social and traditional values.

The new Monarchy who admitted that for him to be enthroned a first class traditional ruler in the South West part of Nigeria at a youthful age, was a rare privilege. He also promised to always act and remain as an interface between the country’s leadership and Nigerian youths.

Oba Ogunwusi, the 51st Ooni, who submitted philosophically that the life of every man is divided into three parts – the morning; afternoon and night, indicated that his philosophy of life is “no supremacy but oneness”, acknowledging his pleasant conversation with many Nigerian traditional leaders.

He added he was elated speaking with many tradition fathers ahead of the coronation, as the outcome of the talk proved that he and them are on “the same page”.

The new Ooni restated that his ascension was not his making, affirming that it was God who propelled him to the esteemed position.
