Young Nigerian Wale killed in Missouri, gets heroic farewell among
Nigerian community

The remains of a young Nigerian, Olawale Oladimeji Oladipo who was killed two weeks
ago in Grandview, Missouri by yet to be identified person (s) have been laid to rest over
the weekend at the cemetery of the Dwayne Harvey Funeral Home in Grandview,
Missouri.

Nigerian community who are usually polarized
came together for once to pour out eulogies on
this rising star whose life was cut short by an
    unknown gunman.

One of his professors described him as ‘extremely
cultured and respectful. Despite living in America,
he would extend the courtesy of the typical
Yoruba by prostrating to greet his elders,
regardless of the occasion or kinds of people
    around”.

Wale, a lover of football,  had only two more semesters to go before earning a degree in
Economics at the University of Missouri in Kansas City (UMKC). He would have been
married last year May, but pushed the event forward. His fiancée lives in Nigeria.

Until his death, Wale worked as a Correctional Officer, (Prison warden ). Police are
trying to determine whether he was killed by a gang of recalcitrant prisoners.

Twenty five speakers, each represents each year the deceased lived, including the
Editor of Sharpedgenews.com Mr Oladimeji Abitogun, spoke emotionally about his life
well spent.

His surviving Junior brother, Timothy Taofeek Oladipupo said Wale was a born again
Christian whose favorite scripture ‘“for God so loved the world that He gave His only
begotten Son”  was boldly displayed  in their house.

I do not know this young man, but mere reading of this story gives me goosebumps.
Innocent life wasted like that? My heartfelt sympathy to his parents, family, friends and
especially the fiancee. May his soul rest in perfect peace.

sad! may the Lord give his family the fortitude to bear the loss. well i think the Nigerian
Government should do something about this wanton killings of Nigerian citizen's. I sincerely
prayed for other Nigerian's out there that God in his infinite mercy will continue to watch over
you day and night. shalom!
