100 Feared Dead, Several Injured In Gas Explosion In Anambra

No fewer than 100 people were feared dead Thursday morning during a gas plant explosion, which occurred in Nnewi, Anambra, South East Nigeria.

The Christmas eve disaster, it was reported occurred at 11am, following a spark as a commercial truck was discharging its product at a gas plant, Inter Corp Oil Ltd.

Many were also believed to have been severely injured by the inferno.
The injured have been taken to the Nnamdi Azikwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH) in Nnewi.

There is no official confirmation on the unfortunate incident as well as the number of the casualties.
