2023: Godwin Emefiele Picks Presidential Nomination Form

(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The Central Bank governor, Godwin Emefiele, has finally joined the 2023 presidential race after paying the mandatory N100 million on Friday.

According to The Peoples Gazette, the apex bank governor picked the form on Friday.

As of the time of filing this report, a spokesman for Mr Emefiele did not return a request to speak on the matter and Emefiele also declined comments.

African Examiner recalls that there have been rumours that the Central Bank Governor will be contesting for the 2023 presidential race and this development has put paid to these rumours.

Emefiele will be the first Central Bank Governor to join active politics and seek an elective position while in office.
