Ayodele Afolabi, Abuja

BALTIMORE, MD (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The Amnesty International Nigeria Chapter has condemned the planned executions of Six Nigerians in Indonesia

Amnesty International in Nigeria staged a protest at the Embassy of Indonesia in Abuja demanding that the execution of the convicts be halted.

Scores of the protesters match on the Embassy in Abuja with various placards to condemned the planned execution.

The Indonesia authority had announced that it would execute six Nigerians and nine others who are convicted for drug offences this week.

There were reports that the country had intensified preparations for the execution of the convicts at the prison island where they are being held.

If the authority carried out the threat, it would be second time in recent time that Nigerians caught and convicted in that country would be executed.
