The opposition party, also announced that it would not participate in today’s (sunday) rescheduled election in 65 polling units in Obosi, Idemili North council area of the state cancelled by INEC.

Addressing newsmen Sunday in Awka, alongside some stalwarts of the party, APC candidate in the election, Dr Chris Ngige, said the alarming degree of electoral frauds in the Saturday’s election made the party to pull out of today’s rescheduled polls.

He disclosed that APC would have no option than to proceed to court should INEC, declares the All progressive Grand Alliance APGA candidate, Willy Obiano winner of the election.

He said, “What we saw yesterday was a systematic and scientific way of disenfranchising the people of the areas of my stronghold.”

Adding that “yesterday’s election, shows that INEC has recorded one step forward in 2011 general election, and three steps backward in 2013.”

Ngige, who said he had already lost confidence in the Professor Chukwuma Onukaogu led INEC in Anmabra state even before the election, said “we are no longer surprise because it is a trend here”

INEC according to the APC flag bearer had a pre-determined agenda before yesterday, which made it to compromise.

He insisted that the electoral body, deliberately refused to accompany electoral materials with result sheets to virtually all the polling units in Idemili south and North council areas, adding that it equally forcefully removed all its party agents, a development that made them to perpetrate their electoral evils.

The APC candidate, also faulted the idea of INEC rescheduling an election on a Sunday, saying “it was an affront to our religious belief”

“I want to conclude by saying that we are not participating in the charade that is going on today in Obosi electoral division in the name of election.” He concluded.
