(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade, has relieved four commissioners from their duties.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Christian Ita, disclosed this in a statement on Monday in Calabar, the state capital.
The affected commissioners are Mike Usibe (New City Development), Rita Ayim (Women Affairs), Asu Okang (Information), and Ntufam Etim (Climate Change).
The governor also sacked five other appointees – Leo Inyambe, Orok Duke, Victor Okon, John Bassey, and Mbeh Agbiji – of their appointments.
No reason was given for the sack Governor’s action; he thanked the affected commissioners and appointees for their services to the state and wished them well in their future endeavours.
