Bad Leadership Has Caused Bitterness, Sadness In Nigeria – Obasanjo

(AFRICAN EXAMINER) –  Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo has  frowned at the present state of Nigeria.

Obasanjo stated that bad leadership had made Nigeria drip in bitterness and sadness.

He disclosed this during an event at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.

According to him, bad leadership has made it hard for Nigeria to attain its destiny of being a land flowing with milk and honey.

He, however, enjoined Nigerians to change the narrative.

Obasanjo said: “My prayer is that all of us will have something to contribute to making this country what God has created it to be – a land flowing with milk and honey.

“Right now, it is a land flowing with bitterness and sadness, that is not what God wants this country to be.

“We must change the narrative, we must talk to ourselves in the civilised language.

“Nowhere you go in this country you will not see geniuses in any section. So, why should we look down on ourselves?
