Biafra: Court Grants FG, DSS Request To Transfer Kanu To Higher Court

A Magistrate Court in FCT Abuja has struck out, to give way for transfer to higher Court, on alleged cases of criminal conspiracy and ownership of outlawed organization against the Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.
While acting on the application by the Federal Government (FG) to withdraw the charges from the court against Kanu, Justice Shuaibu Usman Wednesday threw out the suit and discharged Kanu, who is also the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
FG’s application was conveyed by the Department of State Services (DSS), which indicated that the FG has withdrawn the case from the lower to higher court which has jurisdiction to handle alleged charges criminal charges.
However, ruling on Kanu’s bail application filed by his Counsel, Vincent Obetta, before Justice Adeniyi Ademola of a Federal High Court in Abuja, is to be heard Thursday.
